Imagimob Ready Models are here. Time to accelerate your ML journey.

Now you can add Edge AI features to your smart devices with a fraction of the resources.

We’re always looking for better and faster ways to help you bring machine learning (ML) to the edge. It’s with pride that we now launch Imagimob Ready Models, complete ML solutions that are guaranteed to be robust, reliable, and ready to deploy on the edge.

What are Imagimob Ready Models?

Imagimob Ready Models are off-the-shelf ML models that can be quickly deployed onto existing microcontroller (MCU) hardware without the cost and effort of collecting, validating, and labeling your own data, and then training models based on that data.

An easier starting point for new ML journeys

For many companies seeking to upgrade their products with smart AI features, up until now, the barriers have been too high. The typical development process for a custom-made ML model not only requires the right software engineering and AI expertise but also a significant investment of time and resources for an extensive development process that spans from data collection and model building and training, to deploying on device, to testing in diverse environments to ensure performance expectations are met.

Imagimob Ready Models require zero or limited engineering and AI competence to implement. And with all of the development and testing work already put in, they essentially offer a shortcut to the marketplace. Anders Hardebring, our CEO, weighs in:

“This is a much easier way for companies to begin their ML journeys—they don’t have to make such a big investment to start using it on their edge devices. Depending on the skillset and expertise in a company, developing a custom model for production typically takes six months to a year. With our Ready Models, they can have new Edge AI features up and running essentially overnight.”

We talked to our Head of Customer Success, Sam Al-Attiyah, whose team is responsible for creating our Ready Models:

Does “off-the-shelf” mean making a compromise on fit or performance?

“Some people think that ready solutions don’t generalize well, but how we approach this is we make sure the use cases for the models we are building work for anyone ready to adopt them. We are explicit about what kind of environment each model will operate in and try to convey how to use the model with information and guides. So, if your application matches what the model was intended for, it will work.

“There is also a misconception that off-the-shelf solutions are not as high quality but, as mentioned, we understand the value of proper testing. We have very rigorous testing processes and go through different modes.”

“To ensure the robustness of our models, we create a comprehensive list of different scenarios they can encounter, and then test those scenarios. We also test the models in different scenarios all over the world to ensure they work with no bias based on specific geographies or ethnicities. Finally, field testing on device lets us test and document realistic model performance in an expected hardware setup. The result of all this is a model that does exactly what you want it to when it's running in your products.”

This isn’t the first-ever off-the-shelf solution to exist. What’s so special about Imagimob Ready Models?

“If you look at the Edge AI space right now, you can probably count on one hand how many companies are providing off-the-shelf models for any one solution. Our Ready Models are built upon eight years of expertise and thoroughly tested out in the field in different environments, so they are validated in terms of performance. And the fact that we are running them on small edge devices is really unique.”

Benefits of Imagimob Ready Models

Imagimob Ready Models let you utilize the benefits of Edge AI without the resources a custom-made model requires.

•    Faster time to market

Fastest way to launch your product or get an updated product on the market with robust and high-performing AI models.

•    Lower costs

Lower development costs for AI model development and deployment, and lower operational costs.

•    Easy to deploy
