With DEEPCRAFT™ AI Suite optimized for PSOC™ Edge microcontrollers, Infineon unleashes the full power of its Edge AI ecosystem

Munich, Germany – 16 October 2025 – Edge AI is reshaping the way we live, work, and interact in an increasingly connected world. To drive this transformation, Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) is expanding its Edge AI portfolio with the DEEPCRAFT™ AI Suite – a comprehensive set of software, tools, and solutions that helps customers seamlessly integrate artificial intelligence into their products, which is available now. Optimized for Infineon’s PSOC™ Edge microcontrollers, DEEPCRAFT solutions enable developers to fully leverage Infineon’s Edge AI ecosystem, combining performance on demand, energy-efficient design, and system-level optimization. In this way, Infineon supports application designers at every stage of their Edge AI journey, from early concept and model development to deployment on energy-efficient hardware.

“With the introduction of our DEEPCRAFT AI Suite, we are further expanding Infineon’s Edge AI software ecosystem for unlocking the full potential of Edge AI,” says Steve Tateosian, SVP and General Manager, IoT, Consumer, and Industrial MCUs at Infineon. “Our Edge AI approach is designed to provide a comprehensive set of hardware and software solutions, including the DEEPCRAFT AI Suite, which includes our AI Hub with Ready Models and audio tuning tools. As partner of choice for Edge AI, we offer advanced products and solutions for the easy implementation of AI/ML capabilities in the next generation of IoT edge devices. This enables our customers to develop their models from scratch or integrate off-the-shelf models and solutions into their products, thereby shortening time-to-market.”

Infineon’s comprehensive Edge AI ecosystem
Developers can access all solutions via Infineon's centralized DEEPCRAFT AI Hub and ModusToolbox™, allowing them to contribute their models or adopt ready-to-use ones. Thanks to its availability on Infineon hardware, the ecosystem is designed to reduce friction from model development to integration into commercial products.

DEEPCRAFT AI Hub: Infineon now has a one-stop shop for its Edge AI software offering, the DEEPCRAFT AI Hub. It provides access to more than 50 content resources, including open-source models, Infineon software, tools, and solutions, as well as case studies from industrial, consumer, and automotive applications. In this way, it offers inspiration and practical guidance for every stage of AI development.

DEEPCRAFT Studio: In addition to existing support for audio, radar and other time-series data, DEEPCRAFT Studio now supports computer vision. DEEPCRAFT Studio offers an end-to-end platform for developing robust AI and machine learning models for use at the edge. The platform supports users in creating robust, high-quality models that are ready for use in commercial products and is free to use with Infineon hardware. This includes training and deploying high-performance computer vision models for object detection using advanced YOLO models – all available in DEEPCRAFT Studio.

DEEPCRAFT Model Converter:
For simplified deployment, developers can use the DEEPCRAFT Model Converter to optimize both proprietary and open-source models to run on Infineon hardware. The converter supports popular AI frameworks, including PyTorch, TFLite, and Keras, enabling seamless execution on PSOC Edge and PSOC 6 MCUs.

PSOC Edge MCUs: The PSOC Edge family of Arm® Cortex®-M microcontrollers delivers high-performance, low-power, and secured hardware with machine learning acceleration, forming the foundation for next-generation edge applications. In addition to ML acceleration, the devices provide advanced security features, including Infineon Edge Protect Category 4 (EPC4) with PSA Certified L2 and L4 iSE, PCI pre-certification, and a secure enclave to protect designs from concept through manufacturing. A dedicated 2.5D GPU enables responsive, high-quality graphical interfaces at the edge, offering realistic visuals at a fraction of the performance and energy cost of traditional 3D processors. PSOC Edge is fully supported by ModusToolbox™, Zephyr®, and DEEPCRAFT AI Suite.

Voice-controlled product development on PSOC Edge
The suite also includes DEEPCRAFT Voice & Audio Solutions for the development of high-quality, voice-controlled products. DEEPCRAFT Audio Enhancement improves speech intelligibility by removing unwanted noise, while DEEPCRAFT Voice Assistant supports natural voice interfaces running locally on edge devices. Both solutions have been optimized for the PSOC Edge architecture, making them suitable for dual-core Cortex-M55 with Ethos-U55 up to 400 MHz and Cortex-M33 + NNLite cores with up to 200 MHz, providing best-in-class performance and energy efficiency for machine learning applications.

On PSOC Edge, the Voice & Audio Solutions achieve always-on listening below 1mW with very low latency room conditions, avoiding repeated wake-word prompts and extending battery runtime. Detection rates exceed 98 percent in close-talking scenarios, with a very low rate of false alarms. Development costs are significantly reduced, as customers need to spend almost half as much time creating AI-based voice and audio applications compared to conventional approaches.

Alongside low-power, always-on listening, PSOC Edge delivers up to 75 percent faster audio processing at roughly half the energy consumption of competing solutions, which further extends device performance and battery life. The combination of AI acceleration and an advanced memory architecture also makes it possible to run multi-megabyte models, such as Voice ID, that would exceed the capabilities of modern DSPs. By leveraging these capabilities, developers can integrate powerful, energy-efficient voice and audio intelligence directly into their products, accelerating development and bringing smart edge-enabled products to market faster.
